World Explorers creates world-class retreat experiences that unite elite training, community and personal renewal — giving high-performing individuals the space to sharpen their skills, deepen their resolve and build lifelong bonds with practitioners around the world.
An exclusive global community of practitioners blending elite tactical training with executive networking — World Explorers is building the world’s premier curated retreat hub for driven individuals to train, grow and lead together, for life.
The Destination
Once overlooked, El Salvador has become one of the region’s most talked-about destinations — dramatic volcanic terrain, world-class Pacific surf, and a remarkable safety transformation that has put it on the map for adventure and business travelers alike. The country is small enough that the ocean, the coffee mountains and the capital are all within a couple of hours of each other, and direct flights from major U.S. hubs make it one of the most accessible retreat destinations in the hemisphere.
Tucked into the cool coffee highlands along the Ruta de las Flores, Ataco has become one of El Salvador’s most beloved towns — its streets and building façades covered in vivid murals, its plazas lined with artisan shops and its cafés pouring some of the country’s best highland coffee. Cooler mountain air, walkable cobblestone streets and a genuine small-town character make it an unforgettable base for training, recovery and reflection.
A Limited Special Edition World Explorer Retreat
This 6-day, 5-night intensive is built for high-performing individuals who want to close the year with a structured physical and mental reset — functional strength, circular power tools and breath-based recovery, coached by Francisco Anduha.
Hosted in the high coffee mountains of Concepción de Ataco, El Salvador, this gathering runs December 27, 2026 to January 2, 2027 — six days building to a New Year’s Eve performance peak, followed by a full day of mountain recovery. Pre & post options are available for those who want to extend their stay.

The TacFit Method
You won’t just sweat; you will learn the exact mechanics of rotational power. By mastering advanced longevity tools like macebells and slam balls, you will correct postural imbalances caused by long hours at a desk. This pillar focuses on building fluid, multi-directional strength that protects your joints while teaching your body how to safely generate and absorb maximum force.
True vitality requires a rhythm. You will be introduced to a highly structured “wave” training protocol that shifts intelligently through distinct phases — from deep joint decompression and low-intensity movement up to a single, high-intensity performance peak. This calculated variation teaches your body how to step into high physical exertion without burning out your battery, giving you a template to manage your weekly energy for life.
We couple physical training with practical breathing tracks designed to help you consciously govern your nervous system. Immediately following periods of effort, you will use simple respiratory protocols to rapidly lower your heart rate and shift out of “fight-or-flight.” You will leave the mountain with a personalized blueprint to clear daily fatigue, accelerate physical recovery, and master your stress response on command.

Lodging & Environment
Our home for the week sits in El Salvador’s highest coffee-growing mountains, in the cloud-forest town of Concepción de Ataco. Morning technique labs run in Monte Berat’s own event rooms before the group moves outdoors for open-air training among the cypress and coffee trees.
The Rhythm
Every morning is a technique lab. Every afternoon is a recovery system.
Welcome to the cloud forest of Concepción de Ataco. Unplug, ground your feet, and gather for a welcoming family-style dinner to set the collective focus for the week ahead. During dinner, we’ll walk through the training manual so you understand exactly how the week’s energy is managed.
Morning lab on the foundations of alignment, posture, and releasing travel tightness. Afternoon: zero-intensity joint mobility and breathing loops for deep structural decompression, relaxation, local coffee estate tours, and town exploration.
Morning lab on macebell mastery — swing mechanics that open up tight shoulders, unlock joint tracking, and build multi-directional core power. Afternoon: low-intensity compensatory flows, ATV tour to Apaneca’s Lake followed by an adventure excursion to Café Albania to explore the biggest labyrinth in the region.
Morning lab on slam ball dynamics — learning how to safely generate explosive total-body force and absorb rotational impact while protecting your joints. Afternoon: moderate-intensity skill integration tracks, followed by scheduled mid-week full-body recovery massages on the property to get ready for a special casual night out.
Morning lab featuring our single highest-effort conditioning wave of the week, blending your mastered tools into a structured circuit to sweat out the old year’s stress, followed by a post-workout heart-rate down-regulation reset. Afternoon: Personal downtime followed by Salvadorean-style dinner and midnight New Year’s Celebration.
Late morning scenic trek through the high-altitude coffee forests of Ataco to stimulate natural circulation and clear residual muscle fatigue. Afternoon: a relaxed closing workshop to map out your permanent daily home movement template, followed by a final celebratory group dinner.
Head home refreshed and structurally balanced, carrying the advanced physical skills, tool mastery, and stress-management blueprint to dominate your coming year.

Reconnect · Reset · Rebuild

Our flagship gathering brings together faith, world-class Jiu-Jitsu and the restorative power of the ocean on the volcanic coast of El Salvador.
The Experience
As leaders, fathers, husbands and protectors, we need constant spiritual refueling. Daily scripture-focused discussions, morning devotionals and open forums on faith, modern challenges and purposeful living.
Training changes after 40. We strip away the ego of “young athlete” sparring and focus on leverage, efficiency and the deep technical structure of the gentle art — fluid movement, structural defense and injury prevention.
True wellness is holistic. Premium ocean-facing accommodations, restorative sea breezes and world-class surfing — designed to fully recharge an older athlete’s mind and body.
The Steadfastness Retreat
From white belts to black belts. Training is structured so everyone can learn, improve, and enjoy the experience.
For people who want more than a typical vacation — train with world-class instructors while exploring El Salvador.
Many guests come alone and leave with lifelong friends, training partners, and unforgettable memories.
Train hard, then relax on the beach, surf the point break, explore the coast, or take in the Pacific sunsets at Las Flores.
Faith and community among practitioners over 40 — training alongside people who share the same values and the same stage of life.
Guests consistently say this becomes one of the most memorable experiences of their entire Jiu-Jitsu journey.
This retreat brings together practitioners who share that exact same mindset, combining high-level mat technique with the beachfront restoration of Las Flores Resort.

Coach · High-Performance Movement & Recovery (TACFIT)
Founder, The Evolve Tribe
www.evolveperform.comFor nearly two decades, Francisco Anduha operated at the epicenter of the high-stakes, fast-paced corporate world of the San Francisco Bay Area. In an environment that demanded constant data tracking and the endless “optimization of everything,” Francisco was a sought-after trainer helping high-performing professionals hit their physical peaks. Yet, over years of coaching, he noticed a critical flaw in the modern fitness narrative: human beings are not machines to be endlessly optimized until they burn out. They are dynamic organisms that need to be sustained, nurtured, and built to endure.
Driven by this realization, Francisco evolved his entire coaching philosophy. Today, he has traded the rigid, metric-obsessed hustle for a deeply holistic approach to physical and mental longevity. He understands that true performance isn’t about running yourself into the ground for a temporary metric; it is about building a body and mind capable of thriving in the real world—whether that means navigating a grueling travel schedule, recovering from a demanding week of work, or exploring new corners of the globe.
Francisco’s methodology centers on five foundational pillars: functional strength, deep mobility, science-based breathwork, resilient mindset, and—most importantly—teaching the body how to actively recover and endure. Drawing from an extensive toolkit, including his credentials as a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement Specialist, an OxygenAdvantage Advanced Instructor, and a TACFIT Field Instructor, Francisco looks at human performance through a wide-angle lens.
His decades spent coaching in San Francisco gave him a distinct edge: the ability to think outside the box. Rejecting generic, one-size-fits-all fitness templates, Francisco designs intuitive, highly integrated movement and recovery strategies that empower people to break through physical barriers while honoring their body’s natural rhythms.
Now operating globally with World Explorers, Francisco is dedicated to helping people unlock an injury-resilient physique and an unshakeable mindset. His training is no longer about just chasing a faster time or a heavier lift; it is an invitation to explore your absolute potential, move with freedom, and build a vibrant, enduring life.

Instructor · AI Agents & Biohacking Retreats
Roberto Portillo has spent over a decade inside the machines that run the modern world. His career began in 2012 monitoring thousands of servers for the U.S. Census Bureau, troubleshooting failures in real time. He went on to configure enterprise RedHat Linux systems and spent three years as a Red Hat consultant — where he specialized in OpenShift and the container technology that today powers most of the internet. He currently serves as a System Administrator on a U.S. federal contract.
But Roberto’s curiosity never stayed in one lane. Over the last few years he has stood at the frontier of artificial intelligence — not as a spectator, but as a builder. He designs, deploys, and runs real production systems operated by AI agents: live websites, automated workflows, and assistants that live on platforms like OpenClaw and Hermes. He has seen firsthand how an agent can read your email, analyze markets, and even execute trades — and he’s convinced that the people who learn to put these agents to work now will own an enormous advantage.
That same builder’s mindset drives his second passion: human optimization. A serious student of biohacking, peptides, and longevity science, Roberto treats his own biology like a system to be understood and upgraded. At World Explorers, he brings both worlds together — teaching people how to deploy AI agents that work for them while they sleep, and how to optimize the one machine they can never replace: their own body.
Director of Extreme Sports & Adventure · El Salvador & Central America
Founder & Owner, Monte Berat · Albania Labyrinth · El Atrio Café
@marevaloalbaniaMauricio A. Arévalo is the entrepreneur and engineer behind some of the most talked-about experiences in El Salvador’s coffee highlands — and the man who makes sure every World Explorers guest gets access no ordinary traveler could arrange on their own.
A licensed Electrical Engineer with a Global MBA from INCAE Business School, Mauricio currently serves as Vice President of the Salvadoran Renewable Energy Association (Asociación Salvadoreña de Energías Renovables) and sits on the board of Sensunapan, S.A. de C.V., helping shape the country’s clean-energy future. He’s equally active in agriculture as a Director of Cooperativa Ganadera La Salud, one of El Salvador’s established cattle cooperatives — a rare combination of technical, energy and agricultural leadership that gives him a 360-degree view of how the country actually runs.
But it’s Mauricio’s second career — as founder and owner of Café y Laberinto de Albania, El Atrio Café, and Monte Berat, all in the mountain towns of Apaneca and Ataco — that puts him at the center of every World Explorers adventure retreat. These aren’t outside vendors; they’re properties he personally built, including the massive hedge maze at the Albania Labyrinth and the mountain lodge at Monte Berat that hosts The New Year Reset. As World Explorers’ Director of Extreme Sports & Adventure for El Salvador and Central America, Mauricio designs and unlocks the excursions, terrain, and hospitality that turn a retreat into an unforgettable expedition.
